Recently Sian and I took a quick trip to Dunedin to visit Sirocco the Kakapo and also the butterfly museum.
Sirocco was awesome. Very charming.
He was kept behind glass to help protect this very endangered parrot. There are only 124 left in the whole world.
We also went to the butterfly enclosure at the Otago Museum
This tropical enclosure houses exotic butterflies
If you wear bright colours then the butterflies will land on you.
and if you get there early then you can help release the newly hatched butterflies.
I got some great butterfly photos that I’m now using in my art, and Sian and I would quite like to go back.
